Church of the Natural Law

The Origins of the Church of the Natural Law: A Living Tradition of Spirit, Ceremony, and Science
The Church of the Natural Law is not a building. It is not a denomination. It is not a set of beliefs you adopt and carry around like a badge.
It is a way of living in right relationship — with the earth, with the body, with the community, with the sacred. It is the recognition that the laws governing the natural world are not separate from the laws governing human flourishing. They are the same laws.
This framework is ancient. It predates every organized religion. It is the substrate from which all spiritual traditions emerged — the understanding that the universe is ordered, that human beings are part of that order, and that healing means returning to alignment with it.
Spirit, Ceremony, and Science
What makes the Church of the Natural Law distinctive is its refusal to separate these three domains. Spirit without science becomes superstition. Science without spirit becomes mechanism. Ceremony without both becomes theater.
At Plant Medicine University, we hold all three. The ceremonial work is rooted in lineage — transmitted through Tata Patricio Dominguez, through Taita Paulinho, through generations of Tiwa and Inga tradition. The scientific grounding comes from decades of research in neuroscience, psychoneuroimmunology, HeartMath, and the emerging field of psychedelic medicine. The spiritual dimension is not added on top — it is the foundation.
This is what the Church of the Natural Law offers: not a new religion, but a return to something older than religion. A framework for living that honors the intelligence of the natural world, the wisdom of the body, and the reality of the sacred — all at once.
Why This Matters Now
We are living in a time of profound disconnection. From the earth, from each other, from our own bodies and inner lives. The mental health crisis, the epidemic of loneliness, the loss of meaning that underlies so much addiction and despair — these are not individual failures. They are symptoms of a civilization that has forgotten how to live in right relationship.
Plant medicine, held within the Church of the Natural Law, offers a path back. Not a shortcut. Not a cure. But a genuine return — to the body, to the community, to the sacred, to the self.
This is the work. This is why Plant Medicine University exists.
